🌈 Embracing Inclusivity: MKKC Celebrates Pride Month

At Manchester Kho Kho Club (MKKC), we believe sport should be for everyone - regardless of gender identity, sexuality, or background. As we enter Pride Month 2025, we’re proud to stand alongside the LGBTQ+ community, celebrate diversity, and reinforce our commitment to creating a safe, inclusive space on and off the Kho Kho court.

💙 Why Pride Matters to MKKC

• Building an Inclusive Community: Kho Kho’s spirit is rooted in teamwork and respect. By honouring Pride, we extend that respect to all players, supporters, and partners. We want every individual to feel comfortable, valued, and celebrated at MKKC.

  
  

• Sport for Social Change: Throughout history, sport has been a powerful avenue for unity and positive change. By visibly supporting Pride Month, we signal that MKKC is not just a club - it’s a community that champions equality, acceptance, and the right to play authentically.

🤝 How You Can Get Involved

1. Show Your Colours

   • Share the Pride Month graphic on your social media channels - tag @ManchesterKhoKho and use #KhoKhoForAll and #Pride2025.

2. Attend Our Pride-Themed Training Session

   • On 24th June, we’ll host a special open session celebrating Pride. Come in your favourite Pride gear or MKKC kit, and let’s play together in solidarity and fun. All skill levels welcome.

3. Share Your Story

   • Are you an LGBTQ+ player or ally in Kho Kho? We want to feature you! Send us a short message or video about your journey in sport, and we’ll share it on our blog and social channels throughout June.

4. Support LGBTQ+ Causes

   • A portion of MKKC merchandise sales throughout Pride Month will be donated to The Proud Trust, a Manchester-based LGBTQ+ youth organisation. Every shirt, merchandise, or accessory you buy equals a contribution to a worthy cause.
